The Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) is a transformative infrastructure project aimed at easing urban congestion, improving traffic flow, and driving sustainable metropolitan growth in the region. HLC’s contribution to this mega project included 5.5 km of large-scale earthwork (cut and fill), the construction of four major bridges—including the longest bridge on the alignment (480 m with 16 spans)—and five minor structures, such as culverts and cattle creeps.
The project enhances Rawalpindi’s connectivity by creating a dedicated high-speed corridor that bypasses city traffic, reduces travel time between key economic hubs, and supports urban expansion. The 480-meter bridge stands out as a remarkable engineering feat, overcoming challenging terrain while ensuring smooth passage for commuters and trade.
By combining major and minor works through efficient planning and execution, the RRR project is poised to transform regional mobility, bolster economic activities, and lay the groundwork for sustainable urban development in Rawalpindi and beyond.
