Marka E Haq Square (Katchery Chowk Rwp)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Marka-e-Haq Square Project – Formerly Katchery Chowk, is a landmark urban infrastructure development designed to comprehensively resolve traffic congestion and improve mobility at a critical city node. The project focuses on constructing a high-capacity traffic corridor with two flyovers, three underpasses, and a dedicated pedestrian bridge, ensuring seamless movement for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. To address urban flooding and modernize local utility networks, the initiative integrates robust stormwater management via three newly constructed wet wells and comprehensive communication ducts throughout the corridor.

Spanning a vital intersection, this multi-tiered development addresses long-standing bottlenecks while establishing a strong civic and symbolic identity through the centerpiece Marka-e-Haq Monument. Designed for long-term sustainability, the inclusion of subterranean communication ducts enables seamless future utility integration without ever disturbing the newly laid carriageways.

Upon completion, the project significantly enhanced traffic efficiency, minimized travel delays, improved localized drainage performance, and upgraded urban aesthetics, solidifying the square as a premier, modernized civic hub for residents and commuters alike.
