Dual Carriageway, Gujranwala

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Dual Carriageway – Benazir Chowk to Wandoo Interchange, Gujranwala is a flagship infrastructure development designed to enhance industrial connectivity and ease urban congestion in one of Punjab’s most important economic hubs. Executed by Haji Latif Construction (HLC), the project features the construction of 4 major bridges, 15 minor structures including culverts, subways, and cattle creeps, along with approximately 4 km of large-scale earthwork.

Spanning 15.2 kilometers, the dual carriageway creates a direct link between Benazir Chowk (G.T. Road) and the Wandoo Interchange on the Lahore–Sialkot Motorway (M-11). With an approved cost of PKR 9.97 billion, the project reflects both the scale and importance of this transformative corridor.

Upon completion, the carriageway will reduce travel time between Gujranwala and Lahore to just 45 minutes, providing a fast, reliable route for industries, commuters, and trade. This development will not only ease traffic bottlenecks but also unlock new commercial and economic opportunities along the corridor, driving growth in the region.
