Jhika Gali Project – Murree

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Jhika Gali Project – Murree is a strategic infrastructure initiative designed to improve road safety, traffic flow, and accessibility in one of Pakistan’s most popular tourist destinations. Located at the busy Jhika Gali Chowk, the project focuses on widening the intersection, adding slip lanes leading towards Barrier Road and Kohala Bridge, and implementing robust slope stabilization measures through pile foundations.

Spanning 9.65 canals of acquired land, this development addresses long-standing traffic bottlenecks while ensuring structural safety in a challenging hilly terrain. Approved by PPAC on February 24, 2025, the project is scheduled for completion within 12 months, guaranteeing timely delivery with minimal disruption to local traffic and tourism activities.

Once operational, the project will ease congestion, improve road safety, and enhance accessibility, solidifying Murree’s status as a leading tourist hub by ensuring smoother, safer routes for both locals and visitors.
