The Swat Motorway – Chakdara Interchange stands as a key milestone in enhancing regional connectivity and reducing travel times across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Executed with precision, the project involved extensive earthwork (cut and fill operations), drainage networks, and patching works, culminating in the construction of the Chakdara Interchange.
As part of the 160 km M-16 Swat Motorway, Phase I (Nowshera to Chakdara), the interchange significantly cut travel time between Nowshera and Chakdara from three hours to just one. The project navigated the challenges of diverse terrain while ensuring structural integrity, sustainability, and seamless motorway flow.
Through efficient planning and modern engineering practices, the Chakdara Interchange not only strengthened mobility but also contributed to economic uplift, tourism growth, and regional development, establishing itself as a vital link in Pakistan’s expanding motorway infrastructure.
